Wild Uncut Grass

It always difficult to know where to start with grass that has not been cut for many years as traditional mowers will not cut it and strimmers just pick up the long grass and it all gets wrapped around the spool of the strimmer.

With deep overgrown grass like this you need the correct equipment to cut it for the first time, I placed the watering can there for comparison, this picture was taken in early March so the grass is just starting to grow through as the growing season is just starting, you can see the old dead grass on the ground under the new growth that is the real problem as it can be very dense.

I use my Etesia Attila for the first cut on this type of grass, this is a cutting process only, there is no collection carried out at this time, the grass and the lumps of grass is cut and allowed to wilt for about a week, I then return with a large mower to start cutting the grass a little bit lower and collecting the previously cut grass which should now be wilted and taking less space to be taken away.
